About Me

My subject matter is inspired by personal observations and experiences, storytelling & the human condition.   My love of printmaking and combining text, illustration and print began when I was an art student. I studied Graphic Design & Illustration at Camberwell School of Art and there I made my first artists books. After Post-Graduate Printmaking at Brighton School of Art I moved into teaching and later gained MA in Art and Education at U.C.E. in Birmingham. For many years I taught art and ran projects for all ages mostly in the Community and in Arts in Health/Therapeutic Arts provision. Now that I am retired from teaching I concentrate on making my own work.

I am a member of Marches Book Arts Group  which I set up with two other artists and also The British Printing Society https://www.bpsnet.org.uk/.

On my other Website   …   portraits in watercolour.  are some portraits and illustrations of friends, family and commissions all created (along with regular life drawing) to keep up my observation skills.
